Roles & Responsibilities:
  • To implement, monitor and evaluate continuously the reservation policy in the college and plan measures for ensuring effective implementation of the policy and programmes.
  • To educate, enlighten and empower the students and staff of OBC categories in the university to make use of the facilities extended by the government.
  • To motivate the OBC students to participate pro-actively in all the academic and non-academic activities.
  • To ensure social relationship among the admitted students in the college and resolve issues, grievances, representations etc.,
  • Explore redressal mechanisms and provisions for remedial coaching, counseling etc.,
  • Coordination of equal opportunity, welfare and other schemes including financial assistance from the government and UGC.
  • Conducts a workshop every academic year to introduce first year OBC students’ various scholarship schemes provided by state and central governments available for them.
  • Conducts classes on life skills, soft skills, and personality development classes.
  • Encourage students to take competitive exams like NET/SET, Civil Services, and other examinations.
